Summary
- Your Honor's brief Breaking Bad reunion with Bryan Cranston and Mark Margolis adds excitement due to their similar character dynamics.
- The short-lived interaction between Cranston and Margolis in Your Honor left fans wanting more of their great chemistry on screen.
- Despite the cancellation and Margolis' passing, the Breaking Bad reunion in Your Honor provided a thrilling homage to their characters.
The Showtime television series Your Honor brought an interesting reunion back on screen from another hit television show. Your Honor follows a respected judge whose son is involved in a hit-and-run, and the details of the incident lead to a web of deceitful lies in and outside the courtroom. The life of crime is not an easy one to go down with, as this show proves, but its themes and stories emulate those of the other hit television series, especially since the actors that reunited have a similar character dynamic in both shows.
Two characters in Your Honor are also featured in Breaking Bad, an Emmy-winning series, and their meet-up was indeed great for those who are fans. However, the interaction was brief, to say the least, and by brief, I mean around the one-minute mark. I do wish Your Honor’s Breaking Bad reunion lasted more than a minute, but as a crazed fan of the hit Emmy series, I will take any crumbs I can get, especially since the two actors had such great chemistry in both shows.

Your Honor Season 2 Features An Exciting But Brief Breaking Bad Reunion
In Your Honor season two, there’s a moment where two Breaking Bad actors are seen together on screen, actors whose characters in the Emmy-winning show weren’t best friends but were allies when times were dire. The reunion was between Bryan Cranston and Mark Margolis, Cranston, who plays a respected judge, Michael, and Margolis, who plays a crime boss. Their roles in Your Honor interestingly reflect their roles in Breaking Bad, since their characters in both shows have an intriguing dynamic in the crime world, and I felt like I was dreaming when I saw their reunion.
Cranston and Margolis’ similar character dynamics in both shows make their reunion that much more exciting.
In Breaking Bad, Cranston plays Walter White, a chemistry teacher-turned-meth cook after learning about his terminal and pocket-emptying lung cancer, a job that takes him further and further into the cartel world. Margolis plays Hector Salamanca, the patriarch of the Salamanca cartel family, who has tiffs with Walter all throughout the show. Their feud, however, is mended due to a common enemy, and Walter and Hector work together to take down powerhouse Gus Fring - one of the best Breaking Bad moments - so Cranston and Margolis’ similar character dynamics in both shows make their reunion that much more exciting.
I Wish Bryan Cranston & Mark Margolis Had More Screen Time Together In Your Honor
The interaction between Cranston and Margolis was short and sweet, but I really wish they had more screen time together in Your Honor. Not only do their character dynamics in the Breaking Bad timeline reflect an interesting concept - the enemy of my enemy is my friend - but the actors had great chemistry together in their scenes in both shows, portraying the intense fine line between good and bad. Margolis’ crime boss character didn’t interact much with Michael, which I believe is a total bummer, because bringing those two actors back together would have been a peak.
As much as I would love to see Cranston and Margolis in upcoming projects, it simply isn’t possible. Your Honor season three will never happen since it was canceled, and not only that, but Mark Margolis passed away in 2023, so we won’t see the Breaking Bad stars act together again. Despite their short-lived reunion in Your Honor, I was thrilled to see them on screen together one last time, as I’m sure all Breaking Bad fans did, and I will certainly take what I can get and enjoy the Your Honor / Breaking Bad reunion as much as I can.
Your Honor’s moment between Bryan Cranston and Mark Margolis was a great service and homage to their characters in Breaking Bad. Since the characters in both shows are involved in the intricacies and dangers of the crime world, it makes the dynamics between their roles that much more interesting to see what qualities are similar or differ from each show. I wish the Breaking Bad reunion in Your Honor lasted more than just a minute, but I will certainly take what I can get and be grateful I saw these two great actors on screen together one last time.
