The SEC took a big hit as Immaculate Conception wing Kole Grandison Kole Grandison 6'5" | SF Immaculate Conception | 2026 State NJ declared for the OTE Draft on Sunday. The conference still has players who can make an impact on the hardwood this season, including the 2026 class. Here are the 2026 SEC prospects to watch after Grandison’s decision.
Jayden Holman Jayden Holman 6'1" | PG Linden | 2026 State NJ , 6’1 PG Arts
Holman is an intriguing prospect to track with his ability to play on and off the ball. The 6’1 guard has a quick first step, which he uses to blow by his defender off the bounce and finish nicely around the basket. Holman has a good touch on his floater and finds his open teammates in the halfcourt. He pushes the pace nicely in transition and uses his length to get deflections on the defensive end. Holman is a crafty guard prospect whose ability to run the offense effectively is something that will help his stock in a big way.
Jaron Barnett Jaron Barnett 5'8" | PG Montclair Immaculate | 2026 State NJ , 5’8 PG Immaculate Conception
Barnett had a big spring and is looking to carry it over into the summer and fall. The 5’8 guard plays with composure on the ball as he rarely gets sped up by on-ball pressure and threads passes to teammates in the halfcourt. Barnett has a tight handle as he routinely gets into the lane off the bounce and can finish through contact in the paint. He is an underrated rebounder and slides his feet on the defensive end. Barnett picked up a D1 offer from Delaware State recently and has the potential to pick up more with his strong play running the offense.
Tyshawn Boyd Tyshawn Boyd 6'4" | SF Arts | 2026 State NJ , 6’4 SF Orange
Boyd is a prospect to track over the next couple of months with his ability to make plays at both ends of the floor. The 6’4 forward attacks the basket with a purpose as he finishes strong around the rim and is unafraid of contact. Boyd can also score in the mid-range and moves well without the ball in his hands. He works for rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his athleticism to make plays on the defensive end. Boyd is a physical forward prospect whose ability to finish around the basket and rebound the ball will help his game throughout the summer and fall.
Gerald Elwell Gerald Elwell 6'5" | PF Payne Tech | 2026 State NJ , 6’5 PF Payne Tech
Elwell had a strong spring and has the potential to have a stronger summer. The 6’5 forward uses his strong frame to get position down low and has a good touch around the basket. Elwell sets strong screens in the halfcourt and is an underrated passer. He is a force on the boards at both ends of the floor and holds his ground on the defensive end. Elwell’s stock has risen since the spring and should go even higher if he continues to play at the same level as he did in the spring.
Zaim Barnes Zaim Barnes 5'10" | PG Shabazz | 2026 State NJ , 5’10 PG Shabazz
Barnes is a shifty guard prospect who makes plays with the ball in his hands. The 5’10 guard has a good handle, which he uses to get by his defender and finish nicely around the basket. Barnes has a good touch on his floater and sets his feet before he shoots. He is unafraid of taking big shots in key situations and uses his instincts to get deflections on defense. Barnes is a dynamic guard prospect whose ability to score in the lane and get everyone involved in the offense will help his game in a big way.
